Check this page often for updated listings of all types of cycling events in and around our area. Rides require, at minimum, an appropriate bike in good working order, water, and a helmet. We suggest a spare tube, energy food, maybe a little cash in case we stop, and your biggest smile! Many rides are held subject to weather. It's a good idea to confirm dates, time and any specific requirements, too. We'll see you out there — and have fun! Times of rides are scheduled to change throughout the year.
Magic Monday Evening Ride
Are your Mondays melancholic, mundane, or just out right menacing. Keep the weekend rolling with our super fun Monday night community ride. This is an opportunity to beat the humdrum of your daily routine. Meet us at East Coast Bicycles at 5:00 for our weekly adventure. Cruise along with us as we take over the streets of Norfolk. Routs and ride themes will be changed frequently.
Too Turnt Tuesday
Evening rides rolling from ECB @ 5:30 pm. We plan to have 3 groups: 16-18, 18-20, and 20-22 mph. The distance will be 25ish miles! We Let's get ready to ride! Hope you are as excited as we are!! All are welcome. Helmets are compulsory. Get in the paceline and we'll help you reach your goals!
Beginner Evening Road Ride
Come join us for a bicycling adventure around Norfolk!!
We're rolling out this new ride Wednesday evenings at 5:30 pm.
Pace will be 12-16 mph for 15-20 miles.
This is a great opportunity to improve your cycling skills, expand your network, and sport your cool gear.
To celebrate our hard work we plan to end the ride at a local brewery or bar for libations. Please come out for our Super Fun Beginner Road Ride.
Thursday's Urban Adventure Night Ride
Come join us for our awesome weekly Thursday Night Ride! This is not your typical group ride. There will be no pace lines except in hurricane-force winds. There will be drop bars, flat bars, and sweep bars. There is no requirement to wear lycra. There will be fixies and basket bikes and wide tires. And most importantly, there will be at least one stop for refreshments at 7-11 (or Krispy Kreme). We usually chill at a 15-16 mph pace with regular “go-fast” segments (bridges, hills, just because we feel like it, etc). 20-30 miles total. There are several routes that will show you around the city and give you some safe ride options.

* I.D., helmets, and lights are required for all rides. Also, headphones are prohibited when riding with the group.
